An ombré finish is a great way to give old furniture modern style. Usina a power paint system with a low VOC paint is an eco-friendly alternative to spray paint.

TOOLS:

HomeMade Modern18 Volt cordless drill with wire brush attachment


STEP 1: Prepare your paint room
Hang up a backdrop to catch the overspray from the power painter.

STEP 2: Brush off the old paint
Use a wire brush attachment on a cordless drill to remove the paint and dirt. Then use 150 grit sand paper to finish some of the hard-to-reach places.

STEP 3: Tape off the top of the chair
Use masking tape and paper to block off the parts of the chair that you don't want to receive paint.

STEP 4: Spray the chair
Start low and make vertical arching sweeps with the painter. Turn the chair 90º degrees and paint each side.
